Infinix will launch the GT 50 Pro, its new gaming-focused phone, in India on Tuesday, 27 October. The date and a few details are official, while much of the rest is based on the global model and reports, so here is what is confirmed and what is still expected.
What Infinix has confirmed
The phone will be sold in India exclusively on Flipkart, in two colours: Black Abyss and Red Blaze. Infinix has been building up to the launch with a “Game Together” campaign and is teasing a wider gaming ecosystem, including accessories, though it has shared few details about those so far.
What the global model offers
The GT 50 Pro already on sale outside India uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chip, a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, shoulder triggers for games and a 6,500mAh battery. Reports also point to 45W wired and 30W wireless charging. Indian versions sometimes differ, so treat these as a guide until the launch.
What it might cost
Infinix has not announced Indian pricing. Reports suggest a range of roughly ₹30,000 to ₹35,000, which would put it up against other mid-range phones aimed at gamers. If you are shopping in that range, it is worth waiting a day to compare.
Also launching this week
It is a busy week for phones. According to published launch schedules, the Redmi K100 is due in China on 27 October, the iQOO Neo 12 on 28 October and the OnePlus Ace 7 series on 29 October, all with very large batteries and high refresh rate screens. These are China launches for now, but phones from these brands often reach India later under different names. We also covered the Vivo Y600 and its 10,000mAh battery.
Before you buy
A gaming phone is about more than the chip. Look at how warm it gets during long sessions, how often the company updates its software, and whether service centres are easy to reach where you live. Our guide to phone battery care covers how to keep a big battery healthy for longer.
