Air India Saudi flights to Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam will stay suspended until 14 November 2026, according to a BusinessToday report. Air India Express has extended its Saudi cancellations to the same date. If you hold a ticket, you can rebook once for free or take a full refund.

Quick answer

  • Suspended routes: Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam, to and from India.
  • New end date: 14 November 2026, inclusive.
  • Rebooking: one free change for eligible bookings, new travel up to 29 November.
  • Refund: full refund if you cancel instead.
  • Eligible tickets: confirmed bookings issued on or before 30 October.

What changed on 30 October

The earlier cancellations ran to 31 October for Jeddah and 7 November for Riyadh and Dammam. On Friday 30 October, the airlines pushed everything to 14 November. Air India’s post on X said the flights “will remain suspended until 14 November 2026 (inclusive)”.

Meanwhile, the airlines cite the regional situation in West Asia. BusinessToday also reports attacks on Saudi infrastructure, including airports, which raised safety concerns. We covered the first extension in our earlier note on Saudi flights staying suspended into November.

How Air India Saudi flights rebooking works

However, passengers with confirmed bookings issued on or before 30 October, for travel up to 14 November, get one free rebooking. However, it depends on seat availability. The new travel date can be as late as 29 November 2026.

Also, Air India passengers can rebook to or from any operational Air India station in Saudi Arabia. Air India Express passengers can use any operational Air India Express station in Saudi Arabia or Bahrain, subject to the airline’s arrangements.

Refund instead of rebooking

Instead, you can also cancel and get a full refund. This makes sense if your plans are tied to a date, such as a family event or a work visit. However, if you are flexible, rebooking keeps your fare and avoids a new purchase at higher prices.

So, contact numbers reported for the airlines are as follows. Air India: +91 11 69329333 or +91 11 69329999. Air India Express: +91 124 6935600. City booking offices can also help.

Other airlines on the same routes

Meanwhile, IndiGo has cancelled flights to and from Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah until 14 November. Akasa Air has suspended Riyadh until 30 November and Jeddah until 10 November. So switching airlines will not help for these dates.

What to do now

First, check your booking on the airline’s app or website. Then decide whether to rebook or refund before your travel date. Keep screenshots of any cancellation message, because they help if a refund is delayed.

Also, check your travel insurance and any hotel or Umrah package bookings. Those usually have their own cancellation rules. Our guide to the 48 hour flight cancellation rule explains free changes on other tickets.

The details here come from a single news report, so confirm with your airline before acting. Air India’s own travel advisory page is the place to look for updates.
