Navi Mumbai airport transport now includes electric buses, city buses, app cabs and a free shuttle to Mumbai’s main airport. The operator announced the network on 5 October 2026, ahead of the winter schedule that runs from 25 October 2026 to 27 March 2027. Here is how each option works.

Quick answer

  • MSRTC e-Shivai buses: ₹450 to Pune, ₹210 to Borivali, ₹170 to Dadar East
  • Free hourly shuttle between Navi Mumbai and Mumbai airports
  • Uber and Bharat Taxi serve designated pickup zones
  • Nearby stations: Panvel, Targhar and Bamandongri

Navi Mumbai airport transport by bus

According to Adani’s media release, MSRTC e-Shivai electric buses began on 7 October 2026. The Dadar East service runs via Sion and Atal Setu. The Borivali service serves Mumbai’s Terminal 1, Bandra and Atal Setu.

Pune has two daily services, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Children under 12 pay half fare. So do women who hold a National Common Mobility Card. Thane and Nashik services are planned by mid-November.

Chalo Bus runs 21 daily services to Marol in Andheri East, Bandra, Dadar and World Trade Centre in Colaba. NMMT city buses run seven airport routes, A1 to A7, to places such as Belapur, Nerul and Panvel. Belapur and Nerul buses run every 15 to 20 minutes at peak times.

Taxis, autos and app cabs

Uber Go and Uber Premier work from designated pickup zones. Uber Auto covers short trips. Bharat Taxi started on 10 October 2026 with up to 40 dedicated vehicles. Prepaid taxis and prepaid autorickshaws are being introduced, and car rentals are available.

The release does not list fares for these options. So check the app fare before you confirm a ride. In total, the airport lists 4,594 vehicles, including 3,787 app-based taxis and 547 buses.

The free shuttle between the two airports

If you connect between airports, the inter-airport shuttle is free. It is operated by Cityflo, Aarya and Chalo and runs hourly. No departure times were given, so confirm the timing before you plan a tight connection.

The two airports are about 45 km apart. Meanwhile, a metro link between them is not expected until 2031, according to Skift.

Rail and metro options

Panvel, Targhar and Bamandongri are the nearest stations. Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 is operational. Metro Line 8, which would connect the two airports, is only proposed so far.

Common mistakes to avoid

Do not assume every bus runs all night. The release says buses run from early morning to late night, but gives no exact timetable. Also, do not count on Thane or Nashik buses before mid-November.

Finally, allow extra time for Atal Setu traffic. Because road conditions change, keep a cab app ready as a backup.
